Here we have a genuine example of a W124 chassis Mercedes-Benz, the classic 300E. I spent the last ten years to find the best example in the Midwest and this was a bucket list item for me; owning, driving, and experiencing one of the last Mercedes-Benz vehicles which was when a Mercedes meant a Mercedes. Recent Maintenance (all preventative and most importantly, all service performed and/or parts supplied from my local Mercedes-Benz dealership)

-Head gasket, plugs and wires, oil service, transmission service, newthermostat andwater pump,new OEM Mercedes battery, new OVP relay, new refurbished Hirshmann power antenna, various light bulbs, new cruise control amplifier, alternator, new Becker vehicle security control unit, new air filter, new headlight lenses, new ceramic fuses, new MB windshield, new fuel pumps,refinished center console wood (no cracks!), dozens of various other cosmetic trim pieces,and more. All with OE MB parts - no aftermarket - with the exception of four new Bilstein shocks.

Full Disclosure

-Minor rust under the wheel arches of the front two fenders and a bubble or two on the trunk lid, crack in front splitter bumper, some wear on drivers side bolster, minor 6" diameter sun-fading on the trunk lid, various scratches and small dents aligned with a 30 year old vehicle - notable items - my dealer had mentioned that everything under the car supports that this vehicle was never driven during the snow and almost no rust what so ever is under the car - something amazing at a local Midwest dealer. The car is still one of the best I have seen up here, but it is not a show car, it is a driver and its paint still shows its great shine.

Summary

I am a long time auto enthusiast and have owned many Mercedes over the years. Of my current stable, if I had one to choose for an apocalyptic situation, this is the only car I would choose - it will never die and always start! The car drives straight, has decent Michelin Ice X snow tires, transmission shifts perfectly, retains a solid 20MPG in city and approaches 30MPG onroad-trips, and isdefinitely a turn key example - nothing that I know of needs any immediateattention - hop in and enjoy. This vehicle also has my favorite color scheme for the W124 E-class, which is the Blue Black Metallic (Code 199) with two tone paint. The interior honestly looks like no one has ever sat in it as it is supple, smooth, and still smells like new. Under carriage is dry as a whistle - no leaks!Never smoked in, always washed and cleaned, no accidents;she has dubbed the name "German Taxi" and sure lives up to the name. Onlyused Shell V-Power with MobilOne.The vehicle also has precedence with Mercedes-Benz Classic Center with its recent high mileage award - see images for information. All books, original dealer booklet, build sheet, and keys will come with the vehicle.
