Description:

1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

It's a crying shame. I paid $9000 for this car in 2011 with 96K original miles on it! I only put about 23K miles on it. Made the mistake of loaning it to my son who proceeded to drive it for months without checking the oil and it ultimately ruined the engine. Can't bring myself to scrap it since the body is in really good condition with only 119K on it. Hoping some Benz enthusiast or mechanic would be interested in doing the engine work or replacement. Maybe YOU? If you or someone you know is inclined this can be a classic ride.
Title is clear and will transfer here in Pennsylvania normally. If you plan to part it out, here in PA you can get a "title only" or salvage title. This car starts up but cannot be driven any distance. It will need to be towed or transported. You as buyer will need to make those arrangements. I will assist any way I can on my end.
I invite you to inspect it and assess the condition. It starts and will move but it makes alot of clatter. Interior is in good condition. Wood looks good and dash is almost unblemished. From the photos you will see some spots of wear on the paint. Clearcoat is flaking in some places. One noteable spot of rust starting below rear window, see photo. Overall, good exterior and hardly any rust beyond what I mentioned. Jack points still solid. Includes spare tire and tools; even original first aid kit.
Plug in heater for winter starting too.
Remarkable that it still starts up on the first try and has ever since I've owned it. Hope you are the one willing to bring her back to life. She seems to young to send to the scrapyard.
Let me know if you have questions. No reserve, low starting bid.
