You are looking at my friends' extremely clean, ALWAYS garaged (and covered while in there!), stunning & very desirable 1973 280SE 4.5 sedan. His mother bought this car brand new and it has lived in the same garage virtually its entire pampered life in San Diego, California for 42 of its 43 year life. She gave the car to him a year ago and shipped it to South Carolina, but with his hectic corporate schedule and family life it's simply not enjoyed enough and it's now time to find it a new home/caretaker. I must say, I'm a serious car collector and I have never seen an unrestored car this clean and unmolested. It looks virtually new. These early Mercedes were hand built and the quality is unsurpassed. The interior is extremely clean. Seats and carpets look like new. Door panel tops have a few tiny minor cracks, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of this sedan. The dash and wood are simply gorgeous. Even the wood around the interior of the windows is beautiful. This truly is one special car. The beautiful dark blue exterior of the car is stunning as well with a deep, beautiful shine. The car has had one professional repaint about 5 years ago and it looks absolutely factory original. The car is extremely straight and I only saw one tiny tiny ding on a fender top that more than likely can be removed by a paintless dent guy. The chrome bright work is exceptional. No money was spared when it came to maintenance and upkeep. The car runs and drives beautifully, and needs nothing to be be immediately enjoyed. Odometer reads 35,410 but it has rolled over at least once. You'd never know it though! The tires and brakes are like new. Headliner is perfect. She even still has her factory original Becker radio. Original owners manuals, dealer delivery paperwork, and miscellaneous receipts will be included in the sale. Everything works as it should.
