1974 Lotus Europa Special

I have had this Lotus Europa in storage for a couple of years and cannot find the time to rebuild it as I had planned, so it's time to give someone else the opportunity to bring this stylish 70's sports car back to life. Being a TCS it has the twin cam, big valve engine with a Renault 365 5 speed gearbox, the car shows 25007 miles on the odometer which are believed to be correct.

All major mechanical parts are present and in the car, the motor has not been turned for at least three years and I assume will be seized but may well be freed up with some penetrating oil and a bit of patience.

The wheels are recently refurbished to new like condition and all tires are unused and brand new. The carbs are completely rebuilt with new parts, polished and ready to bolt back on.

The body work is in really good condition for its age and commensurate with the odometer mileage, there are no signs of crash damage or major repairs that I can find. The paint is dull but not peeling or cracking. The doors hang and close properly, all glass is there and in good shape. The interior is complete but tired.

The chassis appears to be in good rust free condition, the previous owner began re-bushing the suspension so some bushes appear new but I consider them all in need of replacement.

This would be a very straightforward rebuild with spare parts all easily available and a very solid start point. I have the Maryland title in hand.
