Here is the info history on thia 1956 Continental Mark II. The car has only had two owners and is documented by the original paper work of its purchase in Santa Barbra California and that information and paper work comes with the car. The car was passed on to the owners brother "keeping it in the family" so to speak. Original Maintenance and repair records from the dealership as well as the order slip come with the car. The Lincoln Car Company provided the buyers of the Mark II automobile with a small Model of the car they were purchasing that came in a little Cloth bag with the Company LOGO and was given to the new buyer as a gift and reminder of the car that was being specially built for them personally will also come with the car. The nearly forgotten sales "gimmick item" is beyond rare to still be found with a Continental Mark II car as any collector of these automobiles can attest to. The car was originally Dark blue with cream and blue interior but was changed to Cigarette Cream with a Cream and Sea Foam interior. Interior shows as brand new. Car shows good fit and finish in the seams and panels. Chrome shows in "ok" number two condition with a brand new rear chrome bumper recently reinstalled. The finned cast valve covers are in good condition. Good wide white tires and excellent original Mark II finned hub caps are also with the car.C A repaint in the chosen exterior color is in need of a respray, he weatherstripping has dried and in need of replacement. The existing paint has faded but has only a very small perhaps 3 inch wide area showing any cracking or chipping. Glass and chrome are in good condition except for an abrasion scratch on the driver side window 2 inches wide. The car has a little over 76K original miles. It is a well sorted original matching #'s drive train.
