Up for your consideration is this Unmolested Completely Original 1971 Jeepster Commando DELUXE. This Jeepster Commando Deluxe is in great shape for its age and more importanly isn't hacked up like most 48 year old vehicles. Speedometer shows 67K but there's no true way of knowing how accurate this is but the condition seems plausible that it would be original. This Jeepster comes with a lot of perks being a Deluxe that most Jeepster lack such as Power Steering, Power Brakes, Saginaw Steering (not Ross), Sliding windows, Chrome trim, Chrome Bumpers, Roof rack, Interior Door trim, Rear plastic wall covers with arm rests, Original Headliner, Original Carpet and a center console. I have only owned this beauty for a year or so and just don't have the steam to take this rig to where it needs to be so I'm putting it on the block. In the past year i have gone through the mechanicals of the truck and at this point have It road ready and reliable. All of the electrical components on the vehicle work as they should including Lights, Horn, Turn signals, brake lights, wipers, lighter, blower motor, courtesy lights, hazards, speedometer, Brights and radio.THe Bluetooth Radio was installed with two 6" speaker boxes in the rear and two 3.5" speakers in the dash. The original radio was replaced with a Blank off Plate but the original radio will be included but I am not certain if it works.
The sale will also include a soft top made by kayline, I have never installed it before but will be included with the truck but it is used (no tears but slight fading on the windows).
The frame chassis and floors are rust free and still have most of the original undercoating.
The truck was a work in progress so certain things will be needed. The roof rack and Ac unit are not currently installed on the truck and will come with the sale. The truck was also missing the ac compressor so that will need to be sourced as well as the ac lines. The driver door will need a slight adjustment or new striker because the door wants to open up with some pressure. There are two spots on the rockers that need repair as shown in the photos (one on each side) as well as some dings to the pass side fender. There is also a dent to the rear section of the hard top but no serious creasing. Passenger window is slightly finicky going up but still goes up and down. The factory gas gauge isn't registering but the tank and sender are new so its most probably the gauge itself, i have another unit i will include. There are separation at the seams in both the front seats but a local upholster had said that they were repairable with the material that was there and would just need to be removed and sewed.
