This is a California Original, (blue plate) 1984 Jeep CJ7 Renegade "Survivor" with 99,567 original miles.
Its current mechanical status is running, however the engine has a blown head gasket, so it will need to repaired or replaced with this type of problem it could stop running completely at any time. We do not recommend driving it other than on or off a tow truck/car carrier. Although we only drove the Jeep outside our gate at 5mph to take photos, the vehicle did go into forward and reverse gears, the transmission/clutch seemed to be in good condition. The brakes stopped fine and the suspension seemed to be in good working order. The electrical systems worked properly when tested. The 4x4 also engaged properly at the time of our test.
Aside from some rust around the windshield frame the body is 100% rust free (chassis and frame). New windshield frames are available inexpensively on eBay for approx. $200. The paint finish appears to be largely original with a tremendous amount of patina. There are various dings, dents, scrapes, scratches, nicks, discoloration, chips, fading, hazing, etc. The overall appearance is very clean, completely honest and untouched.The body and undercarriage are superb and the new owner will be pleased.
The interior is also in amazing original condition with no significant wear. Stunning original seating surfaces. Gooddoor panels, instrumentation and dash.
-All gauges report accurate readings, clock works as it should (rare)-Both window regulators will need attention(window crank, window regulator and pull strap not present on drivers door)-Tires hold air however all four will need replacement
This CJ 7 gets a thumbs up for it's nice original and solid body/patina. Mechanically it will need some TLC and in our opinion it is definitely worth fixing.
Due to the mechanical status this vehicle it is only being offered to out of state or country buyers (no California buyers)...........
