Description:

1987 Jeep Wagoneer Low mile barn find

45000 mile 1987 AMC Jeep Grand Wagoneer Barn Find! This was purchased new in 1987 by an elderly couple who owned it until 2002. The husband passed away and the wife sold the vehicle to a collectorHe drove it 200 miles home and parked it in his garage with others in his collection. It sat untouched until spring 2018, when I purchased it.I changed all filters and oil, flushed the tranny, new fuel pump and new alternator. I also changed the front axle universal joints and the upper and lower ball joints due to them being seized from sitting. Filled the gas tank and it fired right up. I have driven this about 1,000 miles and it starts runs drives and stops as it should. The interior is immaculate with the exception of the headliner which is sagging here and there. Leather seats and cloth inserts show no signs of wear and look like new. Carpet is as new with factory jeep floor mats. This Jeep is fully loaded with power windows, factory am/ fm cassette player,6 way power seats, power mirrors and rear window. Rear window does go down from dash switch, but will not come up unless by using key in tailgate swicth. Has tilt wheel, power steering and power brakes. Also has A, but needs charge. Wheels and centercaps are in excellent condition.Tires are fairly new with great tread.has factory driving lights with the original covers. There are rust holes behind both rear tires and a bit on the front fender, but nothing major. The rockers and frame are rust fre, other than some surface rust on the frame. This would make a great daily drive, or take it to the next level and have a true American classic automobile that could be worth up to $65,000 1987 was the last year these were produced by American Motors Co., making these more collectible and skyrocketing in value.
