This is a great little postal Jeep. It had a frame off restoration about 7 years ago by the previous owner. He gave me the receipts for over $10,000 that he spent on it. It has a inline six cylinder motor, automatic transmission, Rear wheel drive. This is one of the best postal jeeps that you will find. The paint really shines on the inside and out and under the hood. It runs great and drives like it did when it was new. It is factory left hand drive (normal). Tires on it are good. I just serviced it with fresh oil and antifreeze and greased it. I never see any fluid leaks on the floor. It drives down the road straight as an arrow. No power brakes (you are the power). No power steering. There is absolutely no rust through on this jeep, just a couple small surface rust spots. It really is one of the best that you will find. Never driven in the winter since the restoration. The glass is all like new. The steering is like new as well as everything else. Just about everything was replaced on this during the restoration from the wiring to the brake lines and mechanicals. It appears to have been under coated on the frame also. Floor pans are like new. Seats are like new.
Now for the not so good: There is a small crack in the paint on the passenger fender, a couple of very small surface rust spots, one on the rear door hinge, passenger side door top by the window and under the windshield. all are small spots. The motor runs like a top but after it warms up the oil pressure drops from near 60 psi down to 20 psi. It still sounds great but need to let that be said. The speedometer didn't work when I bought it so I put one in that worked but the mileage is way off from what the original one (the original one comes with the Jeep). One of the air control knobs won't stay on. The windows want to slide down slowly while driving it. Not bad only about an inch or so. Not sure what's up with the doors but they do not lock in the open position. For some reason the doors do not go back far enough to catch the lock. I am sure I am forgetting something but that is the stuff that I can think of.
The Jeep is advertised locally. Once my reserve is met I will not end the auction to sell privately. I will take cash at pickup or send a check and you can have the Jeep once it clears the bank. I would like $200 non refundable paypal payment immediately following the auction but the rest is to be in person or as otherwise stated., No wire transfer's, Been burnt on that before and no cashiers checks. This will sell for far less that it should. I do not warranty this truck and it is an "as is" sale. I have a clear title in my name.
