71 Jeep Jeepster Commando Pickup from Cali in Ma.4x4 Power steering and Brakes

We are offering for sale in this auction a 1971 Jeepster Commando 2 passenger 4X4 pickup with removable hard top with power steering and brakes.This truck spent all of its life in California except for the last 5 years when it was shipped to Massachusetts for use by one of our friends who's primary residence is in California,as an errand runner at his home on Martha's Vineyard. We installed 4 new radial tires,serviced the brakes,tuned the engine,installed 2 rear shocks and adjusted the carb.....well that was 5 years and zero miles ago,so the new plan is to sell it before 5 more years pass. We just removed and acid rinsed the gas tank,rebuilt the carb and gave it a bath. The V6 runs excellent,no smoke and very quiet and smooth. The Rest of the mechanicals are in great shape and the Jeepster runs down the road with plenty of power and no drama.We were told the previous owner to our friend was the first owner and it was last on the road in Ca. in 87 (see reg pic)and the miles @69k are correct.All indicators seem to support that (pedals,rubber floor and interior) although we have no written proof. The only rust through anywhere top to bottom and underneath is in both outer rockers from moisture from sitting (rock solid inner rockers & everything else) see pics. Lights,gages,wipers,speedo and odometer all work. All glass is excellent with the only exception being some light clouding on the very bottom of the windshield. The Jeep had a re spray in it's original color obviously many years ago. This truck is an awesome driver or basis for a full blown restoration. Please ask all questions BEFORE the auction ends.
