Please read entire description - - THIS IS A RARE SCOUT II -- 1980 C.V.I. (custom Vehicles Inc.) conversion GMS package (GreenMachineSport) Obviously, the factory green was re-painted to Plum Crazy Purple at some poin, but original color is still able to be seen in a few spots. BEST and LAST year of Scout II (in the USA, anyway) It has all the goodies you want in a Scout! Sadly, the front grille was destroyed in a fender bender (which is why it has the passengers fender and grille from a different Scout) ALSO-- the Scout has been titled as a 73 to avoid emissions issues from a previous owner and he even went through the hassle of re-riveting the 73 VIN tag on the passengers side....so you get TWO titles and VINS.... The origanl 80 VIN sticker is on the drivers door (see pics) The active title is for a 73. The 1980 title open.
Ok, here is the GOO, BAD and ETC.
1980 Scout II - 345 bbl, runs very well, smooth, drives down the road nice. 727 Auto trans shifts crisp. Dana 300 for LOW range, works as it should and even the ENGAGED light in the dash lights up! Quiet dual exhaust. Power steering, power disc brakes, Dana 44 axles front and rear with factory Locking Differential in rear! NICE Dunlop Rover 31x10.50x15 tires with matching spare. Entire inside was Rhino Lined, Interior is in amazing shape for its age! The cruise does not engage but everything is there, the Air Conditioning turns on and compressor engages but blows warm, so needs serviced. The factory dash clock does not work but is there. Comes with factory manuals.
It does have some typical Scout rust around rear fender wells, in the rockers and front cab mount towers. Suspension is stock. I have a rear tailgate that goes with it to replace the one on it since it has a nice dent in it. - rear hatch needs aligned to close properly.
It does pass current Colorado emissions and comes with BOTH the 73 and 80 titles/VINS
