Just posted a few more photos per somebody's request.
Placing ad for my friend. She is the original owner with clean title in hand. 1989 Honda CRX Si, Unmolested car. Black with gray interior. 206,531 miles. Being sold by original owner. Never driven hard, always babied. Service records from 2005. Runs strong, drives great, stops well. 5-speed manual transmission, clutch good.Many new parts over the years. Hard to find, classic car for restoration or parts.
Was a daily driver up until about a month ago. Needs work before it can be safely driven daily. Just took to her long time Japanese Auto Specialist to assess condition and safety. Results were: Frame is rusted-must be fixed. Needs front exhaust pipe and convertor. It has a hole and is loud right now. Gas tank rusted and told is leaking. Advised to replace gas tank. Car has a gas smell as it was just filed. Fuel and brake lines have some rust and should to be addressed. Also as seen in pictures both rear quarter panels need to be fixed or replaced. Oil needs to be added every now and then.
Interior in pretty good shape but issues include:
Worn and ripped upholstery in driver and passenger seats which were re-uphostered about ten years ago, but seats are pretty solid otherwise Crack on plastic control panel. Does not effect operation of fan or temperature controls. Steering wheel has cover for better gripping.
A/C has been converted to use newer freon but not working unless it is temporarily re-filled/charged each summer (costs approx. $150.00). Probably a leak somewhere in the system.
Hatchback, gas tank and front hood cables need repair to open and close properly.
Sunroof opens and closes fine, its motor seems good with no leaking, but should be assessed, possibly lubricated for smoothest operation, as it sometimes sticks and moves slowly.
All original carpeted components for back seat area in good shape. Original spare tire.
Replaced AM/FM stereo cassette deck and speakers years back which work fine but need to be assessed and possibly replaced/repaired for best sound quality and control.
Tires ok, but will need to be replaced soon.
