1967 GMC C10 --

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you, this is a lowered and chopped 1967 GMC pickup. Beautifully built and dressed in flame red paint, it's anything but subtle. If you're the sort who likes to stand out in a crowd, this truck will definitely do it, but it's also comfortable to drive and ready to do some work with a fully functional late-model bed out back. They took about three inches out of the roof of this GMC and boy does... it make a difference! It goes from pedestrian and familiar to sleek and muscular. Part of that is due to the late-model stepside bed out back, which fits so well that it's shocking that the bed is two decades newer than the rest of the truck. But beyond that, the workmanship is very nicely done, with a seamless chop that still fits together like it should. No wonky window frames, no crooked glass, no ill-fitting weather seals; it's almost as if the factory designed it that way. The beautiful red paint is a big help in the eye appeal department and the quality of the work speaks for itself, because it really is as nice as it looks in photos. Sure, there might be one or two minor signs of age and use, but for the most part, this sucker looks ready to stop shows all over the country. The interior is fresh and thoroughly modern, including a pair of black leather buckets from a late-model that look like they belong here. Black carpets, bright red dash, and a new dash pad dress it up and a period steering wheel seems like the right choice. The gauges are beautiful originals that include a factory tach, all set into a black camera case instrument panel that's straight out of the 1960s. Entertainment comes courtesy of a modern AM/FM/CD stereo system set into the original slot in the dash, and remarkably enough it fits like it was made for the truck (are you sensing a theme here?). Reproduction door panels help with the seamless blending of original and custom pieces and you'll quickly discover that even with the chopped top, there's plenty of room to get comfortable behind the wheel. Performance is not a problem thanks to a strong-running 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood. It's nicely detailed with matching red inner fenders, firewall, and radiator cradle, so the engine itself stands out. Other dress-up parts include the finned air cleaner, Edelbrock valve covers, and a polished fan shroud to really make things bright. There was an effort to keep the wiring and plumbing neat and even the heater box was painted to match the bodywork. Thanks to a professional build, it starts easily, idles well, and pulls the relatively lightweight truck around with performance that rivals a muscle car. Thanks to a frame-off build, the chassis is very well detailed, with satin black components, a fresh dual exhaust system fed by long-tube headers, and a lowered suspension that handles well on the street. A TH350 3-speed manual transmission powers a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end that includes custom traction bars to help it hook up. Other goodies include a new gas tank, monoleaf springs in back, and those flashy Torque Thrust wheels that are just the right choice on a truck like this. It's a little radical, but sometimes a little radical is what you need. Beautifully and professionally built, this is a truck that you can drive every day or win trophies on weekends. Call today!
