Description:

1969 Ford Galaxie XL 390 Convertible

We call this 50 year old gal "Lazy Susan”. There's nothing wrong with the suspension but it does have a slight dip in the back. It makes it 👀 sorta COOL 😎 if you ask me.You are bidding to buy the 1969 Ford Galaxie XL convertible that is pictured above. This car is a Pale Yellow with black accent at the bottom. There has been at least one repaint of the car over the period of 50 years. You do not have to worry about rust or body filler on this car and the bottom is as solid as the top. Even though this car is very nice, I am not representing it as a show car. All trim components are there and do not need restoring or replacing. Even the headlight doors function properly and are still on vacuum. The original 390 engine has been recently rebuilt and is matted to the original C6 transmission. The odometer reads 27,xxx miles, but is actually 127,xxx miles. The power convertible top is relatively new and operates perfectly. However, the rear window is plastic and is slightly faded. The interior is the original black and DOES NOT need any kind of attention anywhere. All of the windows and door glasses are good. All of the window felts and moldings are present and ARE NOT dried, cracked, or brittle like most. The trunk still has the original jack and spare that came with the car new. It has dual exhaust and 15" tires and wheels all around. The car runs and drives as good as it did the day it was new.As I mentioned, I do have the build sheet,it's torn and tattered but still there. The last few pictures are of the trunk area and door jamb tag.
This car was Ford's attempt to have a family car, weekend cruiser, and muscle car all wrapped into one. Once you drive it, you will be impressed at the number of looks you get. This was originally a Indiana car but now resides in Mississippi. So I have a Indiana title that is signed off on. This is the way that you will get the title as "Open ".
