Description:

1955 Ford F-100 Custom Cab

Super solid California farm truck. Spent all it's life near San Diego. Has an original 221 with 34000 miles. Great oil pressure, does not overheat. Runs awesome and very smooth. Starts right up every time. Rare automatic transmission that I had completely rebuilt. I have receipts. I converted it over to a 12 volt system with new wiring, new alternator and new starter. Also has new fuel tank, fuel lines, rebuilt carburetor, coil, brake lines and shoes (that stop extremely well). New original spec 3 row radiator from Mid-Fifties. New exhaust with a cut out after the cab.New brake and accelerator pedals. New front windshield rubber.
Beautiful red and black interior. Seat is in incredible shape. No rips tears etc. It was faded so I dyed it the original red color and just looks amazing. Floors and doors are super solid. Incredible patina with a minor dent here and there and just enough minor rust to give it character.
The vintage visor is in excellent condition and makes the truck even more special. This old '55 draws a crowd where ever I drive it. There are a few leafs taken out of the springs to give it an awesome stance and I will include them with the sale.
The bed wood is reclaimed barn wood from a Michigan barn that I was told is well over 100 years old. As you can see from the pictures it has some faded red here and there which compliment the red accents in the truck beautifully.
I have new side glass not installed yet that come with the truck as well.
I have quite a collection of vintage cars and trucks and I just don't have the time to drive them all as I'd like to so...it's time to "thin the herd" a bit. I'm hoping someone will give this old girl the attention she deserves.
I know I've probably forgotten some things but I've tried to describe her as best as I could. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have and can assist the buyer in coordinating pick up with your shipper. Or, better yet, come see her in person! You will not be disappointed!
