I a, relisting this due to a disappearing bidder who never contacted me after winning the auction, only bid if you are serious about owning this car as I turn all no pays into ebay no exceptions.
I bought this car as a barn find and set it up to be part of my personal collection of classic cars as a daily driver. It was stored in the barn on concrete floor and was in primer and covered in dust. (see pics at end of the video) It was very solid all the way around and under so I had my body shop paint it the original color candy apple red. The interior was in survivor condition and original so I elected to leave it the way it was.It has survived really well and in very usable driver quality condition.
I had our mechanic go through the car to make it something I can drive back and forth from home to my office. Besides the normal tune up, battery etc etc,I put on 4 new tires and bought 4 trim rings and GT center hubs for the car. The center hubs did not fit perfect (i believe the wheels on the car are off a cyclone or ranger etc,) so I took them off for the video and driving so I would not loose them. I found some hubcaps that fit along with the GT caps and trim rings that go with the sale.As the video shows, the car drives 60 mph plus. I noticed a little play in the steering, diagnosed as tie rod ends, very inexpensive fix. I have been driving it the way it is, never bothered me.The trans shifts great, the brakes stop the car, the correct 302 v8 runs great with no knocks misses or smoke. The gauge package has the tact in it, works great.
The title is clean and clear matching the numbers ready to register. This is not a restored car but a very nice daily driver. It looks great and I have had a lot of head turns and compliments as you just don't see fastback GT torino's a lot. The vin decodes it being born with the 302 v8 fastback legit GT.
