1963 Ford F-100 4X4

You gotta get excited about an affordable long bed classic 4x4 pickup that has spent over half a century as a workhorse, and it's still eager to get out there and pull its weight today. This 1963 Ford F-100 is a true lesson in honest endurance. The factory-correct Caribbean Turquoise has a bold look, but just enough character that some people might even wonder if you're driving a barn find. It's the kind interest you couldn't generate with... a pickup that cost four times as much! This truck was about going to work, and so that's why you have the long bed that's upgraded with liner paint and even a proper trailer hitch on the rear. It's this honest attitude why you won't find much chrome here beyond the upgraded trailer mirrors. But that's actually is an advantage. The white front bumper, grille, and wheels complement the light blue paint quite nicely for an almost two-tone appearance. The colors of the exterior continue inside. You get the bright blue on the doors and dash, and the white accenting return on the steering wheel. Plus, the newer velour cloth on the bench seat adds comfort while coordinating with the sea of blue inside. There are some nice upgrades, like the AM/FM/cassette radio and handy tach in the gauge panel. But the true thrill is the classic mechanical feeling of grabbing the original Ford steering wheel and rowing your way through the tall floor-mounted stick shift. The total experience will make even trips to the supermarket feel like you're out in the fields on a hay run. Under the hood is Ford's premium Y-block motor. It looks great with the bright blue block, matching valve covers, and polished air topper. This 292 cubic-inch V8 had such the perfect combination of smooth running operation and torque on demand that it was even utilized in the Thunderbird cars. It even has a Holley four-barrel carburetor to really deliver the right power if you still want to use this four-wheel drive machine to its fullest. It fires up nicely, and the V8 is well-paired with the four-speed manual transmission to both keep up with traffic and give good low-end torque off road. Rarely do you see a tall 4x4 F-100 from this era, and so it's great to see one that wears its history so well. Will you be the one to write the next chapter? Call today!!!
