1978 Ford E150 Econoline Sport Van, 'Tangerine Dream'V-8, Auto, tilt wheel! cruise! Clean title in hand!AC...but does not blow cold air. An original 'Viking' Conversion, custom decalsandcustom paint by J Button '78' ? from signature on back, This is one sweet honestFord Van ! Not many around like this anymore,a well preserved unmolestedtime capsule from 78! a survivor! No rust ! No Bondo! No dents! No rips or tears in any of the seats! Windows all good! door locks, door handles all good & operate as they should. All lights, turn signals ect. work. Has electric roof vent that works awesome.Receiver hitch!Awesome orange fur carpet detailedheadliner...awwww 1978!!! This thing turns some heads, she gets a lot of attention♥ Michelin radial tires all aroundwith lots of tread. Does not have thefactory wheels, wheels are from 94 Ford truck with wheel skin covers. 351W V-8 runs smooth ! no smoke, no ticks, no knocks, no blow by. Tranny is tight & smooth. Brakes good.Drives and rides wonderful! Rides better than most everything I have owned.I seriously think you could drive this anywhere. 2 fuel tanks. Rear seat can lay flat for bed, Has an octagontable with cup holdersthat can be moved to two different locations inside, has a built in ice box with top cup holders, has a sink on top of the ice boxbut it is not operational, probably could be made to be. All captains chairs swivel as should. Rearchairs can swivel toface either direction. Stated mileage will go up as I use this currently as a daily driver to work and back and grocery getter.NOTES: This has an exterior electric fuel pump, the mechanical one on the engine is still in place but not hooked up. No clue why it was ever changed but the electric works great.Mileage is inexcess of its mechanical limits of 18,462.When switched to the front fuel tank the fuel gauge does not work, when switched to the rear fuel tank the gauge does work but noticed it is off, so when the tank is full it registers alittle over half on the gauge. Thetemp gauge does not work, I assume itneeds a newtemp gaugesending unit.I don't know if the cruise works, just never have had the need to use it. I can give it a try soon at your request. AC does not blow cold air,ac compressordoes engage, just no cold air. Heat & defrost works great. Old mufflerhas slight leak, sounds great out of the tailpipe though!Doeshave arear seal oil seepage leak, I rarely have to add oil to it between changes, but it could be something that could stand to be done in the future&does not effect the drivability of it at all.Tires are not balanced but at speeds up to 65 notice noshake at all.I do have the spare tire bracket that attaches to the back.Spare tire is no good, and will not hold air. It will also need a jack to keep in the vehicle. Also I havethe curtains that came with it, they are old but could still be usedand or used for a pattern for some new ones to be made. Please ask questions and I can send more pics if interested. One of a kind Ford Van with lots of potential or drive and enjoy as is. Only selling because I have a single drive and three vehicles is a pain, would love to go the distance with this beauty if I could. This would be great for camping, pulling the boat ect. This van could also sell locally thus ending auction if no bids are placed during that time. Any checks, money orders will have to clear mybank before I can release the vehicle. Note...some of the photos I took, she was actuallypretty dirty, I have since waxed it, and wow does she clean up nice! Paint is really unbelievable for a 1978. Also I have since removed the mud guard flaps from the fenders, I liked the look better without. Please call or text for additional info and or pics, 402-937-6374, drive it or haul it home, she's good either way.thanks for looking !
