Description:

1990 Ford Thunderbird SC SUPERCOUPE

1990 Ford Thunderbird SC SUPERCOUPE. 3.8 V6 with the rare 5-speed manual transmission (according to several websites including the SUPERCOUPE CLUB OF AMERICA,) SCCOA, there were only 6067 manual trans SC Thunderbirds built in 1990. This one has 96,000 original miles. The car was my father's car, it's been in the family about 15 years. When he passed 8 years ago mom kept it garaged until she passed away this last december. It's been garaged since about 2002. mom drove it just enough to keep fluids cycling and to get it emissions tested and plated every year (it's always had stabil run thru it as it sat. I had a new windshield, battery and alternator installed before bringing it home (after i inherited it). exceptional black cloth interior with aftermarket stereo with a 12-disc pioneer CD changer in the trunk. The carpet looks like new under the mats, the dash looks like new under the dashmat. (They never smoked inside the car as long as they had owned it.) I've been running small errands in it and runs and drives great. It's smooth and stone-quiet, Hardly an interior rattle, no tick or smoke of any kind. Always adult-owned from new, the car and drivetrain is completely stock and unmodified (except for the stereo but you get the original with it.) The near new indoor car cover comes with it. Clear colorado title in my name. It's better than driver quality overall, however it could use the hood and roof repainted (typical rock chips, scratches and clearcoat coming off on roof, see pics.) although it has low miles for the year, it does have average wear reflective of the age and miles cosmetic - wise. Absolutely ZERO rust anywhere. recent supercharger service, brakes, tuneup. A/C blows cool at idle, blows cold while driving (could use some freon, it lost a bit from sitting but does work.) The trunk mat has one spot where it looks like fingernail polish spilled, it's right behind the driver taillight but doesn't show in the pic. everything works, nothing missing. The driver power seat is slow to move when sitting in it but it does work. STILL HAS ALL ORIGINAL PAINT except for a spot on the driver door at the handle and the quarter panel just in front of the driver rear wheel has been repainted (do not know why, that had been done prior to dad owning the car. Otherwise no surprises.) tires are at about 40 % tread left, all even. All updates done by local dealer here in denver when new, have all factory paperwork (owners manual, stereo, chiltons book etc.) I haven't had it long enough to see any leaks underneath. I only have given it a quick vacuum inside, no detail. so as you see it that's how he owned it. (no perfume on a pig here.)
As I inherited the car in late january and it was my father's car I have described the car to the best of my ability. Again, the car does have some light cosmetic edge indicative if the miles but it does present well. (dings in window trim, scratches and chips in paint, etc.)
MY APOLOGIES FOR THE NEXT FEW SENTENCES, IT SEEMS TO BE NECESSARY DUE TO POTENTIAL BUYERS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THRU. It seems to drive great, starts right up and sounds awesome (i run it to work, run errands in it, etc) please ask questions PRIOR TO BIDDING as once the car is yours, it's YOURS. There is no warranty expressed or implied. It's sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, HOW-IS. You now know as much about the car as I do. I'll be here for pickup and loading, however the shipping is ENTIRELY YOUR JOB. I do not, will not and cannot shop around for you. Have your shipping in line, prepared and ready PRIOR TO BIDDING, this is a legal and binding contract. Once the auction ends, it's YOUR CAR. you will be responsible for payment in full within 3 days of auction end. The car does NOT leave until paid in full. You WILL be held accountable for purchase legally once you own it.
I reserve the right to end the listing early due to car being advertised locally.
Please contact me for a fair timeline for pickup as i have NOWHERE TO STORE IT AS IT IS, i cannot sit on it. (that's the reason for selling, i don't have anyplace for it now.) The reserve is low so bid well and bid often, good luck!
