I bought this truck off a farm. It's ready for farm work as is, or would makea nice restoration project. This truck one has a fantastic body style and getscompliments all the time!Pros:
- Great body style
- Clean Tennessee title
- 4 wheel drive with lock hubs.
- Parts for this truck are cheap on LMCTruck.com
- It has a 3 inch lift kit with 32 inch Mickey Thompson tires. (previous owner told me this cost $1600)
- The motor was replaced some time back. It's a 1985, 300 Inline 6 and runs good.
- I have personally put nearly $2000 into making it more reliable.
Here is what I have done:
- Oil change + filter- New clutch kit- New clutch fork- New battery- New starter- New hoses- New valve cover gasket- New side valve cover gasket- New PCV valve- New plug wires- New distributor cap- New rotary- New passenger outer tie rod- New starter- New solenoid- New driver's side window- New chrome air filter- New rear wheel cylinders (2)- New power steering belt- New floor mats- New steering wheel
Cons:
- The fuel pump makes a buzzing sound for a few minutes, until it warms up
- The rear seal is leaking a little, but not enough to leave a spot on the ground
- There is a bump feeling from the rear end when you get up to about 30 or 40 mph.Not terrible, but it's always there. A friend said he thinks the bed need tightening.
- There is no radio or climate control in the dash.
- The guts to the glove box are missing. (How does that even happen?)
- Windshield has a crack in it. (but, no leaks)
- The wiring has been messed with and is a little wonky, (i.e., the blinkers (which work) make the brake dash light flash.
- The brakes will need to be changed. If you push them hard, the truck pulls to the left a bit
- The seat is not the original seat and the passenger side bracket doesn't work so it doesn't lock in place. To fix this,I drilled a hole through the track and put a bolt in it with a hand-tight nut. Works perfect slid all the way back for my long legs.
- The seat is torn on the driver's side.
- It needs a floor pan on the driver's side. It's rusted through. ($29 at LMC truck)
- The windows are missing some trim. (under $60 at LMC truck)
- The door panels work, but I don't think they are the originals.
- There is no key to lock the doors.
- There are a few dents and surface rust, especially in the bed area.
- The emergency break plastic handle is broken.

I'm doing my best, as a very non-mechanical person, to accurately describe this truck. People love iteverywhere I go (especially the telephone pole front bumper) but, I want you to know what you are biddingon to the best of my ability. I drive this truck everyday to put it out for sale.
Mileage reads just over 55K, but that's not a reliable number, I don't think, since the motor has been replaced.
