1929 Ford Model A Leatherback

This 1929 Ford Model A Leatherback sedan was brought to Twin Falls Idaho by the retired son of the second owner his Father whom lived in Billings Montana. In 1970 his Father went from Billings Montana to Cody Wyoming about 130 miles away to look at a car for sale, He always wanted a car like this to restore someday and he found it and purchased it from the widow of the original owner sitting in the garage for 20 years he didn't know If it would even run. Having a little mechanical back ground he put fuel in it, water in it, charged the battery and air up the tires and it fired up. He bought it and drove it 45 mph all the way home to Billings. Tragically he was killed in a car accident in 1973. So again the car sat in the garage for another 30 years. So the son of the second owner went to Billings and picked it up and brought it to Twin Falls, Idaho. He was going to restore the car but now is moving to retire in Arizona. He had the engine has been redone and ready to be put back together, New Babbet Bearings, Crankshaft was ground, New aluminum timing gear was Installed and the valves were ground as well has the Head shaved. Their is numerous parts to go with this as you can see in the pictures.
