Description:

1969 Ford Mustang

For sale is my 1969 Mach 1, 390 S code, C6 with factory A/C, power steering and power brakes. This is a true Raven Black car with front and rear spoilers, and rear window louvers one of 1,559 produced. Please see attached Marti Report. This car is mostly original and shows very well. From the best of my knowledge, this car has had 1 repaint and no panel replacement that I can tell. The interior is mostly original and again, shows very well. The buck tag is still under the front passenger side fender.

The body is solid, door gaps and panels line up nice and straight. The paint is not perfect, but it is better than average. I would rate it a 7 out of 10. There is a crack in the cowl under the windshield wiper as pictured. The hood black treatment is plasti-dip and can easily be removed by peeling. The stainless and chrome on the car is in great shape and again, shines very nicely. The passenger side headlight "eyebrow" is dented but I will include a new piece with the sale.

The seats are in nice shape, no rips or tears to note. Same with door panels and the dash pad. The rimblow steering wheel is cracked as pictured, but still functions as it should. All the gauges work as they should. The speedometer has a slight needle bounce which is probably due to needing a new speedometer cable. The clock works intermittently. The glass is all in nice shape and original Carlite glass with exception of the windshield which is PPG.

The engine runs well and has been dressed and detailed nicely. It has an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley carburetor. The paint under the hood is not perfect. There are several scratches and other signs of wear. The shifter needs the bushings replaced as the shifter handle actually puts the car in Drive while marked "N", etc. This is a common problem on these cars and I will include a new shifter with bushings with the sale. The transmission has a small leak which seems to go away if you exercise it regularly. All 4 wheels are original Ford wheels. The tires have great tread. The underside is solid but not perfect. There are no rust holes or other major areas of concern but it is far nicer than any other original car I have ever seen.

This car catches attention and turns heads wherever it goes. People constantly complement it and "thumbs ups" are completely normal. You can take it to any show or cruise night around and receive plenty of respect.

So why are we selling? I bought this car for my wife to drive. We have other muscle cars and she really wanted a car that had power steering and power brakes with an automatic transmission. It was always our goal to drive and enjoy this one with the intention that we had a car worthy of someday doing an over-all rotisserie restoration. As life goes, priorities and responsibilities take over and interests change! She has her eye on something different, so it's time to move on. Overall this car is very nice considering its age. We are very picky and know good cars from junk, this is a good car! This car is not perfect by any means but is a no-brainer smart investment that can be driven and enjoyed without having to pour big money into.

This car is from my personal collection. I am not a dealer; I do not "flip" cars for an extra buck. I'm just a guy who enjoys old cars with his wife. Having said that, I am not very interested in trades, but I will listen to what you have to say. Please ask any questions and feel free to view the car in person. My phone number is 330-592-3644. No joy rides. Test drives with CASH in hand. I have a clean and clear title in hand reflecting 68,000 original miles.
