1985 Ford F-250 Extended Cab W/ Chrome Trim

This Body Style Ford F250 XT Cab Lariat is now starting to become a collector Vehicle. Get it while its affordable and restore it while you watch the price climb.Check out what these are selling for with a paint job and running engine. These was one of the last true square body styles and to find one with this straight of body
not driven through the mud is rare indeed.1985 Ford Pickup F250 Lariat 4x4I had a rebuilt transfer case put in, it has the huge expensive H.D automatic transmission that was also serviced and showed in perfect working order. Locker hubs installed in the front. The interior is in very good condition with just a couple of small tears in the driver side, the cd player was stolen so the frame and and bolt are sitting below there spot to mount, Kept heater in to keep from molding, could use some cleaning inside, but other than that it is in nice condition. I was redoing the top fabric so the visors need put back in.The body is amazingly straight, never been in a wreck to my knowledge. Needs repainted as you can see from the pictures. This vehicle has less than 90k miles on it. When I loaned it to a friend to use on his property, he stored it under a tree for 5 years. It was started often until the last year and then the engine the big 460 seized. We are in a very moist climate and these huge pistons don't take much to lock them down. My son took out the spark plugs and put some oil down the cylinders to try and break them free, we can only get it to wiggle a little bit, but maybe you know a trick to do this. (I feel the best is to re-build it).The transmission on this model truck sells for about $1500.00 used, yes just the transmission by itself. The body is so straight I was going to pull the engine and put in a diesel but I just have too many projects and my health isn't permitting me to do so. My loss is your gain. Serious inquiries only Please.
