1959 Ford Thames

Selling 1959 300E Thames Panel truck. This is the real deal NOT a station wagon with the windows closed up. Steel body with custom tube frame. Rearend is a 1957 Chevy that has been chromed and narrowed. Fitted with Dutchman axles and drum brakes. The front is an Econline straight axle which is the original axle used when this was a race car in the 60's. The axle is fitted with 1948 Mercury drum brakes and is also chrome. Wheels are real 1st design Ansen Sprints 15x4 on the front and 15x10 on the rear. Tires are radial on all four corners. Engine is a 1972 350 Chevy backed with a Turbo 350 prepared by US Speedresearch. Engine runs great and does not smoke. All bolt ons are either chrome or polished aluminum. Custom headers Jet-Hot coated and full 3 inch exhaust with removable chrome mufflers. Custom interior with seats in stock location. Mooneyes gauges and vintage 2 inchSun gauges. All modern wiring no cloth or old lucas. All glass is good and trim pieces and lens are correct for the vehicle. Car was redone in 1995 but has been maintained with new pieces since. This car has been owned by us since 1974 and has been driven extensively. Fun to drive with no problems. Very dependable. Draws a crowd at any show. Hardest part in owning it is keeping it clean and polished. Car is for sale locally and auction can be ended at any time.
