Description:

1970 Ford F-100 XLT Ranger short bed

Here you go folks, a short bed 1970 Ford XLT Ranger with all the XLT Ranger trim in place. Great little truck thateveryoneis after. Previous owner stated the bucket seats are original to the truck andsupposedlyrare, but haven't done the homework to check. Do need to be reupholstered, or throw over a cheap cover. All lights work, including the inside cab light and outside bed light, blinkers, headlights, brake lights, etc.. All gauges work, wipers work, but horn does not. Charging system appears to work fine as it starts immediately after sitting for days. The 390 engine starts up quickly and runs strong. Transmission shifts through all 3 forward gears and reverse, and brakes work fine. Exhaust system has Flowmaster mufflers, and I just had theexhaustpipes run to exit behind rear wheels (previous owner had them exiting in front of rear wheels). All glass is good. Drivers side cab mount needs to be replaced, can drive around without fixing it, but I have new ones for both sides. Front of bed needs a new bedpanelwelded in, lower front fenders needs some attention, and a few other minor areas as well. Does have some minor rust to contend with if you choose, or leave it alone and enjoy the patina. All real easy to cut out and weld in new repair panels, or fix them any way you want. Truck wasoriginallyblue, was repainted years ago to match some what. Good tires all the way around, no dry rot. Has the optional side bed rails added, which to me looks real cool. Here's a bonus; I have a complete Crown Vic front end (rack & pinion, disc brakes, sway bar, with all mounts) that can be bolted in over a weekend. Keep it original looking if you want, or slam it, put some big/little wheels and add front modern front suspension! All in all a great Hot Rod truck that will turn eyes now. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Forgot to mention that I had a new clutch and pressure plateinstalledwhen having theexhaustmodified. Also a few ebayers have confirmed that these trucks were sold with bucket seats and that mine appear to be original. Also, this truck does not appear to ever had any accident damage.
I appreciate all the offers, but have no plans on selling it for less than my starting bid. There's a lot of great F100's here on ebay, some nicer, some not. But believe my starting no reserve price is more than fair and very competitive. Also not interested in selling the Crown Vic front endseparately, sorry. If it doesn't sell, I'll fix the rust, lower it and enjoy it for awhile.
