Description:

1988 Ford Mustang SSP

1988 Ford Mustang LX V8 5 speed Coupe with SSP option. Both buck tags are present along with all body vin tags. This car was never in police service, his car went to Blue cross Blue Shield of Multnomah county Oregon. Less than 15,000 of these cars were made from 1982-1993 and only 300 in 1988.
This car has been recognized and added to the SpecialServiceMustang .net VIN registry site and has it's own registry page. This car was part of a Damerow Ford order that was a double order where 59 were made for Oregon Police. This car was sold separately and some of the others from the double order were sent to Saleen for modification per the registry.
This mustang has 198,500 miles and is subject to change(because we drive it), ew bbk headers, ew bbk off road h pipe and new flowmaster cat back. New fuel tank, bk pump and sending unit. Rebuilt rear differential and posi unit with factory 3.08 gears. Manual windows, anual mirrors, anual locks, anual gas door and no cruise. Pretty much original drive-train and suspension, nly alterations are the front seats and steering wheel. I have lots of records and documentation including the original purchase paperwork and protecto-plate, am the 5th owner. Runs and drives good, itled, abbed, nsured and driven almost daily. Has your typical nickel and dime dings, cratches and some chipped paint but overall presentable. Downfalls are cracked windshield, ing/dent in roof, ront rotors could use a turn or replace. Will not downshift from 5th to 4th unless you go to 3rd first. It has been this way since I purchased it, as no other issues and 4th gear works fine.
This is not a "first car" or something for the faint of heart. Car is quick, ight, un to drive and sounds like American muscle!
