What a cool CLASSIC car!
This 1980 Fiat Spider 2000 has 78500 original miles and features a rare original Automatic trans (by Corvette). I am selling this car for a friend, e used it as his daily driver in California for several years before moving to the Midwest. This car does (as of 2012) pass California smog test! This is a true rust free California blue plate car!!! This car has a newer top and interior (2011) which are the factory original style. This is what the owner has to say about the car:
This has been the most fun car I have ever owned and it will be missed. It’s quick, esponsive and surprisingly fuel efficient (I get around 26 MPG consistently driving from Riverside to Indio). This is the first year FIAT introduced Fuel Injection, ncreasing reliability, erformance and fuel efficiency. I put a lot of work into restoring it since I purchased it in Nov. 2010. The body and the engine are totally rust free and the car has never been in an accident. I restored the original wheels and bought NEW tires. The interior is NEW and the seats are very comfortable. Some of the other NEW parts include:
--Catalytic Converter --Fuel Pump --Convertible top --Transmission shift modulator --Coolant and fuel lines --ALL 4 Rotors --Front and Rear suspension.
As-is, he car is nearly complete. To my knowledge all the car needs to be perfect is a new brake booster, ront calipers and a gas tank (less than $1000 in parts). Currently, he gas tank is still fully functional, ut I understand the older ones tend to rust with age. Could also use a paint job, ut currently still looks great after a good waxing. The FIAT is very cheap to insure and will make you instantly more popular! It passes smog and run great! You won’t be disappointed!

Currently this car is not drive-able only because it needs work on the breaks, o it will need to be towed or otherwise transported which is the buyer's responsibility. The current owner has spent around $5000 restoring and maintaining this car, his is a nice usable car and not a parts car, o we hope the new owner will appreciate the blood sweat cash and tears that have gone into keeping this beauty going!
