1973 Dodge Challenger 340 Rallye equipped with a stout 727 Auto Trans and 3:55 Sure Grip Rear. Full matching numbers including 340 4-BBL high performance engine and transmission, born with and date coded correct thermoquad carburetor, high flow radiator, power steering pump with aux cooler, intake and exhaust manifolds, wiper motor, evac system, viscous fan and shroud, electronic distributor, and more. Incredibly, every piece of paperwork connected to this rare car is included. I have a binder full of documents including the original window sticker, 2 build sheets, warranty card, care instructions, sales literature, and every receipt (over 100) for every item ever purchased or replaced on the car right down to a 15 cent loom clip. What you see in the pictures below is only half of the original documents I have for the car.
This 2-owner Rallye Red car was cared for and pampered all its life. It has one of the cleanest, rust free body's I've seen, and the original interior is nearly perfect. No cracks in dash pad, original vinyl seats show no signs of wear, and the Rallye instrument cluster looks like new. Aside from one repaint, period correct air shocks, and an aftermarket Panasonic radio, this car is "As Delivered" in 1973. Even the Vinyl top is original. The paint is about 8 years old and has a few nicks and scratches, but is in overall very nice condition. From what I can see, all of the sheet metal is 100% original.
1973 was the last year of the infamous 340 4-BBL high performance engine, and only about 2500 340 Rallye Challengers were built in 1973 making this one rare machine. It is also equipped with lots of factory options including, automatic transmission, power steering with cooler, power front disc brakes, rear speaker, Rallye instrument cluster with tachometer, bucket seats, center console with Slap Stik shifter, tinted glass, body side strobe stripe with fender scoops, road wheels, sport hood, front and rear sway bars, light group (dealer installed when new, have receipt), 3.55 sure grip axle package, 3-speed wiper, dual exhaust with chrome tips, tinted glass, dual painted racing mirrors, and factory undercoating.
