Description:

1965 Dodge Power Wagon

A true barn/fire station find.

I am the second owner of this 1965 Power Wagon and purchased it from the original fire department which kept it in a heated and climate controlled garage for its entire life – we continued this practice as well after we purchased the truck. It was meticulously maintained by the fire departments full time maintenance staff and was in use until we purchased the vehicle. I have then continued this care and it is still precisely maintained.

This truck is as original a Power Wagon can get and is completely and entirely rust free. There are scratches and marks as you would expect from a service vehicle, ut it shines right up and is very presentable (you have to love how fire fighters maintain their vehicles). The truck has won several awards and even took first place at a major show (overshadowing a pristine frame off restored Power Wagon) because of its originality. A car is original only once. I have owned a number of classic cars and this truck gets more attention and pictures taken than any other vehicle I own or have owned. It is simply a crowd favorite – especially since it is one of the rare participants with a sign of “Please touch.”

The Power Wagon is as solid as a rock; starts right up and can cruise easily, afely and for long periods of time between 50 and 55 mph. Because I have owned other Power Wagons I am assuming that the truck was ordered with specific gearing to reach that high of a top end speed. It is great to have a Power Wagon that can actually go on the highway as we drive it, ot trailer it, o all the car shows we attend.

Everything on the truck works including the water pump, ights, iren, ignals, adio, tc. The truck needs nothing to immediately drive and enjoy. I have added a couple of additional lights which are period correct but not original to the truck. I added a pair of Unity lights to the back and a pair of driving lights to the front bumper. These lights have been tested and work but are currently not connected. I can remove them if the new owner does not want them. The truck is being sold as is.

The reserve and buy it now are the same and I am open to reasonable offers. Please feel free to ask questions or schedule an inspection.

Jason
