1957 Desoto Firesweep Firedome sportsman restoration project

1957 DeSoto

For sale is an original and mostly complete and very solid 1957 Desoto. Surface rust throughout but no rot anywhere, complete minus pass front fender and some trim items. Obviously needs complete restoration. $6000 obo, no title bill of sale only but the orginal vin/serial number is present on the driver door jamb and is shown in the pics.
The motor does not turn nor do i know its condition. I am including my collection of vintage Hemi parts. I have two extra short blocks, a few sets of heads, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, a distributor a fuel pump a air cleaner or two. My hope is that regardless of the condition of the motor that there will be plenty of extra parts to at least build one good engine


The car looks rough in the pics obviously it needs a full restoration but the pictures dont show how solid all the metal is. Its a very solid car with great potential. These cars are getting hard to find in any condition.
The deck lid hinges are damaged, the rear lid is just sitting in place, but the floors throughout and in good shape, the quarters are solid with a few dents, the rockers on driver need a patch the pass needs replacing. There is an very interesting dent on the filler panel behind the rear window. The windshield is cracked, there is some misc replacement glass inside. Overall, way more solid then the pics convey.
