I am selling this car on behalf of my dad who is the 2nd owner of this car. This car was purchased from the original owner who happened to be his next door neighbor in February of this year. The car had been sitting in a carport since 2003. Between May and now lots of maintenance has been done (Over $2500) on this car to get it roadworthy.
Maintenance:
-New front calipers
-New brake fluid
-Fuel Tank dropped and thoroughly cleaned
-New fuel pump
-New fuel injectors
-New fuel filter
-New battery
-New upper & lower radiator hoses
-New water pump
-Fresh Coolant
-Fresh oil change w/ new oil filter
-Transmission & differential flush w/ Redline fluids-Car was compression tested prior to this auction listing and results were as follows #1 145psi, #2 149psi, #3 147psi, #4 147psi, #5 145psi, #6 148psi (have photos of compression test results)
Receipts for above maintenance will be included for buyer's records.
Condition:-Accident free car and has never been repainted-Panel gaps are consistent throughout
-Original interior including dash (was going to put a cap to cover cracks but wanted to leave it as is for the buyer to see the original condition)
-vinyl interior is original and unrestored.
-Paint is original and is very glossy still.-Original undercoating throughout
-Has original spare and tool kit including some pieces that are still factory sealed
-Most electronics work on the car including all instrument cluster and clock gauges
-Rear defroster works
-Heat blows hot
-Switches and most lettering on the interior in good condition
-All glass is original with exceptions of the windshield
-Includes 2 original Datsun keys
-Car does not leak any water on the interior (like most Z cars) and the condition of the under dash relays look brand new (Have photos that I can provide)
-I still have the original side mirrors but they were removed
-Have all original badges except for the 5 speed badge on the trunk
-Clean undercarriage
-Wheel wells are clean and rust free
-Chrome bumpers are still in good condition and not pitted
Aftermarket parts:
-14" Appliance wire wheels
-Period correct Blaupunkt radio
Cons:
-Car has surface rust in several spots including some spots my dad had begun to sand (you can see the original metal underneath
-Car has a small rust through spot on the passenger side rear rocker panel
-Turn signal indicator stock stopped working on 10/22 although the lights still work if you use the hazard button.-Cracks on dash-Cracks in vinyl on driver seat bottom, all other seats and door panels are in excellent condition
-Oil pan gasket does leak a little bit of oil.-E-Brake indicator light stuck on (was told sensor could be bad but does not affect driving)
-Due to surface rust and paint cracks a new paint job would easily double the value of this car. see the BringaTrailer website to see the market for these
