Description:

1971 Chrysler New Yorker

!971 Chrysler New Yorker 4dr Hardtop (pillar-less). Original 440 TNT HP engine. Sat for about 7 years. Runs fine, needs tires (rotted). I just changed the oil and cleaned the carb. Idles fine. Has about 96k +/-2k miles. I can't remember exactly. Was running regularly as a fair weather driver till 2010-2011.Car is originally from the Coroapolis, PA area. I bought the car in 2003 from a guy in MD who bought it from the original owners family. Prior to him buying it the car sat since 1980. The car was specially ordered by a preacher who wanted to tow a trailer ordered the biggest engine available. The story that I remember was that he gave the car to his daughter, she got a divorce and it sat in a field on her and the ex-husbands property in Pennsylvania for about 20 years. It had a heavy custom receiver and an old Kelsey Hayes hydraulic brake controller when I bought it. I changed the carb to a Carter 750 AFB right after I bought it due to severe driveability problems with the original one that was recently rebuilt before I got it. It also had a new 2.5" dual exhaust done which is still very nice and solid with the small 2 chamber Flowbastards that I intended to change out for Turbo's but never did. It's very loud right now for a stock engine. The car is very solid, no real rust to speak of. Interior is pretty decent, a few dash cracks, (that weren't there when I bought it). rear seats are nice, Front can use reupholstery, material is available from SMS.When I moved from the DC area in Dec 2004 I drove this car to NY and sold it to my Father in order to get rid of some cars during the move. He mentioned he wanted to sell it in the fall of 2013 so I bought it back from him and it basically sat in his yard. I would have liked to restore it but I have too many projects going on. I sort of regretted selling the first time just because of the usual options, rarity and history but you can't keep everything.A few things worth mentioning, NY State does not 'Title' cars before 1973. They have a 2 part transferable Registration. I have that. Thats what DMV calls that the Title. It's all proper and legal. The car needs to be picked up in NY. I live in Ohio. If you need assistance I can help but need notice. It's 4 hours away from me. This car needs to be transported. It does run and move but hasn't for a long time. Also you wouldn't get very far on the tires.Let me know if you have any questions or call me at 2162196666 til 10pm. I'm probably only going to list this car once due to the cost. Have your money ready if you bid. Payment is expected within 5 days from the conclusion of the auction by cash in person or cashiers check. If you 10 or less feedbacks or the worldwide 'scam zone' countries I will cancel your bid. This isn't my first rodeo.
