Description:

1970 Chrysler 300 Series HURST

You are bidding on a 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst Edition! All #s matching drivetrain, 440HP w/factory 3.23 sure grip rear, along with very rare factory bucket seat/console option!!! Of the 485-501 produced, this is said to be 1 ofaroundonly 40 factory optioned bucket seat console cars! A true 2registered ownerbarn find, sitting since (we were told) approximately 1989. This also has the dealer recall installed spacers under the rear spoiler which I was told a extremely rare thing that most didn't get done! I was going to take thisto Chryslers at Carlisle show this summer to sellseeing there also having a "Hurst factory built" show the same weekend (in which now thanks to the USPS I will not be attending)..After splicing some wires back together, we got her running, moving an somewhat stopping after sitting for 28yrs...Other than that, only thing I did was spend a few days cleaning the dirt of her an attempting to get rid of the "old car" smell...carpets have been removed only because the previous owner had a brand new one in box along with complete new correct pinstripekit including a original set of stripes for the rims(all included w/sale). This WILL need a complete restoration which she rightly deserves! Everything is there an 99% originalexcept for 1 top right piece of rear window trim (I'm trying to find one before auction ends)-tires are NOT original but rims are-including the finnedcenter caps! 1st a foremost, brakes NEED to be replaced along with tires, that is why it was parked years ago,in the trunk were new front/rear pads, front calipers, front rubberlines, rear wheel cylinders an a master cylinder-ALL NEW, owner never got around to it...Car does currently stop enough toget on transporter, as long as its not some rookie kid driver! We purchased the car from Arkansas-my brother took to his house in TX to get running until I had time to get it shipped up here to my house. The car IS registered through Chrysler 300 club of America. All info will be giving to new owner but I will not list names online! Most that are in the club, will probably know who this car previously belonged to...There was a little black book from when the 2nd owner purchased it in 1983 in the glove box, an it has every documented mile/trip from the day he bought it until 1989! The owner before that actually owned the dealership the car was delivered to from Hurst factory. As I stated, the car runs/drives/stops butwill need a complete restoration...If someone didn't mind the old car smell and wanted to do the bare minimum to get road ready but keep the rest original to drive, I'm sure you could get away with it with a good tune up, brakes/tires/exhaust and drain the gas tank out,but I'm assuming it will need to be restored if your the diehard enthusiast... As far as the body goes, it has rust on lower front fender outer skins, pass side rear wheel well lip, I'm assuming both outer lower rear quarters under the trim (will not need whole quarters!), rust in window channels under glass, theres a spot under the windshield wiper motor that was typical of these body styles to rust out which is easily hideable, and pass side front edge of dash where it meets the glass, again, easily hideable. Personally I would not replace the floors, they do have pin holes driverside front pan being worse, but again, depending how particular you are, you shouldn't have to replace whole pan. My 225lbs fat a$$ has been standing all over them moving around past couple days an therevery solid minus the holes. front/rear frame and core support all look to be in good shape around bushings, doors shut solid like they should. Trunk pan has rust and if they make a complete pan, probably would be best to replace-has pinholes and theres a spot dead center above gas tank where it is rusted through but all solid from where it turns up by spare tire and forward. Ive tried taking pics of all the spots mentioned. The #s matching 440HP does run, has 77k on it, it has been changed over to electronic distributor (original one is in box an included), all we did was put plugs/wires on it an splicesome of the wires mice had chewed though,Still runs littlerough-had a lot of old gas in it an I'm sure the tank should probably be cleaned, but again, my brother drove it mile down the street to meet transporter with no issues...Original radiator is included, but had a whole in the fins so I replaced it with a Imperial one I had laying around, still has the original hood pins that ( I was told) were actually allleft over stock from Boss 429 mustangs... Interior hasBOTH power front bucket seats along with the original floor shifter an console! ABSOLUTE best part of the car in my opinion, ive had a few c-bodys an sitting in it with a floor shifter gives her a whole new feeling! Front and rear seats will need to be recovered, new carpet is in box, headliner isn't horrible but should be replaced, dash needs paint or dye but no holes or cracks that I saw, door panels have no visible tears and look to be in good shape, could use fresh dye or paint to be perfect. Driverside power windows work, pass rear didn't, pass front motor works but I believe the plastic gear inmotor is stripped, window just pushes up n down by hand-but motor is spinning (I have a old window motor with good gear-included). Radio is not original-has aftermarket tape player, with actual cassettetapes included!!!You can show them to your kids an play a guessing game on what they actually are! All the wiring should be gone through regardless, headlights work, taillights all did when I got it here, now there hit an miss, so I'm sure theres wires that need to be replaced or grounded. Power steering leaks, not sure from where but it definetly leaks!!!Optionsinclude AC, pwr seats/wndws,floor shift Sorry if this is so long, I'm trying to include everything I can remember about her an for out of town bidders to give you a really good general idea of what your looking at, I have no problem with overseas bidders/buyers-ive sold a few cars and the people had them shipped to other countrys, but please make your own shipping arrangements, I will help out as much as I can but I do work 6 days/week so I'm only around evenings and Sundays! If the shipper you choose isclose, I canload her on trailer an drop off...If your going to go through a shipperuse Binghamton, NY as location (its only 10 mins from me an biggest area around here)If someone would like to come look at her in person, I have no problem with that either but again, I'm cant take a day off work to meet, it would have to be in evening or a sunday! I'm sure theres stuff I'm forgetting but will add to listing as I remember or questions get asked...car is being sold in as is condition w/ clear title and most of the original documentation including build sheet! Still even has dealer brochures and the paper key tag!!! please don't ask me the reserve price unless youd like to make a offer an buy locally, I put what I think is a fair value for such a rare optioned #s matching complete running car...IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT LIKES TO KEEP BIDDING UNTILL YOU MEET THE RESERVE, AN THEN RETRACT ALL YOUR BIDS JUST TO KNOW WHAT IT IS, YOU WILL BE BLOCKED FROM THIS AND ANY FUTURE AUCTIONS INCLUDING EVERYONE I ASSOCIATE WITH IN THE MOPAR WORLD!!! If you have 0 feedbacks, please contact me prior to bidding, or you will be blocked, I work 6 days week, decided to liquidate a lot of the parts along with cars I have because I just don't have time for everything anymore, including people that just enjoy being a nuisance in the ebay world, I have perfect feedback for a reason, very easy to deal with, an don't have time for nonsense, so I eliminate it...Thanks for looking goodluck bidding! Have a happy an safe 4th of July!
