Price: - Item location: Webster, New York, United States
Description:

1985 Chevrolet Corvette

Selling this Grand Sport Clone. It's fast and pretty - like a Corvette should be.Lots of power without all the electronic nannies designed to keep you driving like a responsible citizen. This is what aCorvette should be - fast, loud, and a little scary.I've given a few test rides in the car to local buyers, and the car spooked them. One even said "This is way too much car for me".

I don't know a lot about this car - it is a very recent inheritance, and I don't have room in my garage to keep it. What I do know is what I've seen, and been able to back up with receipts:

This car is a multiple trophy winner (trophies included). Lots of custom work has been done including AFR Aluminum heads, Lingenfelter intake and cam, cold air intake, TPIS headers, custom exhaust, FMS injectors, 58mm Throttle Body, ZF six speed, Hurst short throw shifter, aluminum flywheel, D44 rear with 3.45 gears, drilled and slotted rotors, braided brake lines, Edelbrock shocks, polyurethane bushings, ZR1 rear bumper, leather interior, Aluminum dash inserts, and so much more. This car comes with a stack of receipts for all the work done on it. THOUSANDS were spent making it the way it now sits. The car is FAST.

Motor is relatively fresh, and has about 10k miles on it. Itwas dynoed at 330hp/380ft/lbs at the rear wheels. New Mexico/Texas car it's whole life - so no rot or rust. Runs very strong, but will need a basic tune up - it's been sitting in a high desert garage for about 5+ years. Removeable Targa Top, Digital dash works, AC blows cold, and interior is near mint. Car has a clean and clear Texas title, and is currently registered.

Recently appraised at $18.5. Appraisal sheets will come with vehicle.

This is the last time the car will be offered for sale before it is stored for the winter.

$500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end. Buyer responsible for shipping/local pick up

Had a previous bidder bring up a good point: The car was dynoed in Albuquerque (altitude is 5300ft), so actual power numbers at sea level will be higher. According to the altitude calculator I found on the Wallace racing website, the car should be makingabout60 morehorsepower at sea level than at 5300 feet (~390HP).
