Description:

1972 Chevrolet Corvette

Very original 1972 LT1 Corvette with documentation that retains its original numbers matching power train. Factory options include power steering and power brakes which make this car a pleasure to drive.

Paint is the original code 987 Ontario Orange along with correct code 404 black leather interior.

Maintenance records show the car has been well maintained and the records support the odometer reading showing 69,000 miles. The original engine and transmission have been rebuilt. The engine was upgraded with roller rockers for reliability. Still retains original heads, intake, exhaust manifolds and its famous solid lifters. Clutch was replaced and carburetor rebuilt. The 4.11 performance axle was replaced with a 3.70 for better highway driving. Have the original 4.11.

Body has excellent fit - all panel gaps are consistent. Appears to be a no hit body. None of the typical stress cracks around headlight doors or chrome inserts on hood. Paint is very presentable with no major flows.Frame, undercarriage, and suspension are very clean.

The black leather interior is in excellent condition. Seats, door panels and dash are all very nice. Newer carpet. Rear compartment doors look and operate as they should.

Vacuum system for headlights and wiper door work as advertised. Exhaust is newer - aluminized. All gauges work. Very tight steering and suspension, no rattles or squeaks - best driving C3 I have ever driven.

Some original components: Seat belts, shoulder harnesses, working AM FM stereo, spare tire lock with original key, jack, and original set of keys. Spare tire is in place.

Documentation includes: Original readable tank sticker, original Owner's Manuals, and a binder full of receipts and previous owner history.

Disclosed items: Clock, seat belt light and alarm do not work (have original key for alarm). Small chip in windshield on driver's lower corner (not in line of sight). Tires have about 60% tread.

This is not a show car, but above a nice clean driver. Total LT1 production for 1972 was 1741. Not many are left with a matching numbers power train, low mileage and original supporting documentation. Questions and inspections are welcome.
