Description:

1976 Chevrolet Malibu Malibu Classic Station Wagon

The following is a bit lengthy but really describes the car in detail. If you want a car that is mechanically DONE and virtually rust free with beautiful chrome, glass and no dents, dings or work to do that you can take to the local cruise-in the day you get it, this is the car for you.

1976 Chevrolet Malibu Classic 4 Door Station Wagon

They Odometer reads 30K. I am the second owner of this car and I know that it is actually 130K original miles on the vehicle. I will not try to lead you to believe that this car has only been driven 700 miles a year. I will say that it is a nice low mileage car that has had on average about 3000 miles a year put on it and it shows.

We have gone through the mechanicals and refreshed pretty much everything so this car is ready to drive cross country. Great candidate for the Power Tour, tons of power, cold AC and a sweet comfortable ride. This car starts on the first time every time and runs perfect.

350, Automatic, factory Posi Rearend, Front Disk, Rear Drums, Power Brakes, Power Steering

Original color buckskin with CUSTOM LACE PAINT laid over the original color. The car has had ONE repaint by the original owner about 6 years ago and when I purchased it I had a custom painter lay the CUSTOM LACE PAINT on it. The LACE paint gets an unbelievable amount of attention, you can't stop at a red light, gas station or store without people talking to you about the car and the COOL CUSTOM LACE PAINT. I know LACE is a custom touch that is not for everyone, but you will be surprised how much attention you get with it. Don't like the CUSTOM LACE PAINT, change the color and move on, you have a rust free canvas to start with, which is very difficult to find on a 43 year old car.

The car has virtually no rust other than very, very minimal spots where the paint may have been nicked or scratch. The frame rails, floor boards and wheel wells are almost perfectly preserved with no rust. The car has very few flaws or complaints other than the typical small road wear, no dents or major scratches other than some very minor parking lot scratches. The chrome is mirror like and not foggy at all. All the lights and lenses are clear and have great color. The original rubber around the tops of the doors was coming loose so we ordered new OEM factory correct seals however they have not been installed yet but will go with the car. Absolutely NO rain comes in at any points.

The interior of the car is all original interior with no rips in the upholstery. Panels around rear cargo area of the wagon are discolored from the sun but solid and all there. The wipers, blinkers, and all electronics operate as they should. The windows are manual and go up and down smoothly. All four door panels are in good shape with no damage although the plastic parts have faded some. The headliner is in great shape with no sagging but does have a couple small tears, looks like someone caught something on it at some point while loading or unloading something from the cargo area.

This car runs and drives perfect and can be driven ANYWHERE.

The car was originally assembled in the Fremont California GM assembly plant (now the TESLA factory) and delivered to Westlake Chevrolet in Seattle Washington. ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET GOES WITH THE CAR. The car was owned by the original family until the summer of 2015 at which time I purchased the vehicle.

The state of Washington does NOT salt the roads, so the floorboards are whisper clean and rust free. The chrome and stainless on the car are nearly perfect. All the glass on the car is in excellent condition.

We had the AC retrofitted for 134, and installed a new AC Compressor, AC High Speed Blower Relay, the AC now blows ICE cold.

New Rims and Tires, Front 15 x 7 rims and 235 60/15 tires, Rear 15 x 10 rims and 255 60/15, tires. The Original rims and three of the original hubcaps go with the car.

350, with a complete rebuild with 30 over pistons, high volume oil pump and a mild 350 cam. Mileage on the rebuild is less than 20K

Custom Stereo Box on center hump with high output receiver, CD and Aux input so you can connect your phone for music or handsfree calling, the box also has high power speakers built into it as well. Box has Oil, Water Temp and Amp gauges, as well as USB plugs built in. Gauges have not been hooked up yet but will come with the parts to complete the installation. Original AM radio works but is disconnected. Factory antenna in the windshield works and gets great reception. The original CB antenna base is located in the front fender but the mast is broken.

This is a sweet ride that always gets thumbs up, hard to stop at the store, gas station etc. without a conversation about the car.

Please note this is a very nice car but it is 43 years old and is NOT in perfect showroom condition.

We have invested over 9K in this car, and the reserve price is thousands less so whoever gets this Cool Custom Cruiser is getting the DEAL OF THE CENTURY. These mid 70's cars are gaining in popularity but the prices are still reasonable. Get this one before the prices go out of site.
