Description:

1991 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Blazer 454 Restored 4 speed manual

NO RESERVE auction! The highest bidder wins.
Up for sale is my 1991 K5 Blazer 4x4 Restomod. This was the last year of this body style and it is a rare truck. If you do not want attention, then this is not the truck for you. I get compliments and conversations are started almost everytime I drive it.
Why am I selling it? I have too many cars and now use my wife's Escalade to tow our boat. I only drive it 1-2 times per month so it needs a new home where it can be appreciated.

It started its life as a Fire department vehicle for the Franklinville, NJ fire department. It stayed with them until it had 87,000 miles. It was a 4x4 K5 Blazer with the 350 and 4 speed manual transmission.
It had a frame off restoration done 5 years ago (5,800 miles ago). The frame was sand blasted and Amercoat epoxy applied to all surfaces. Body was originally white. Repaint was 4 years ago with Black/White combo. All door jambs and crevices were painted black. Engine bay was also painted black and firewall smoothed out. Paint is a 7/10. Decals are vinyl and easily removed.
Floor was rust proofed and then linex was applied. dynamat was installed for sound proofing. New rubber floor and side panels were installed. New door panels and dash also in place. Interior is a 9/10.
New chrome front and rear bumpers.
Two front seats and center console were covered in durable marine vinyl.
Rear seat is original cloth with cloth arm rests
Original 350 motor was swapped for a new Big Block GM performance 'LS6' crate motor.

The SM 465 four speed manual transmission was rebuilt for the extra power. No more popping out of gears with the new rebuild! This is one of the best manual transmissions for off roading or towing. It is built for strength and reliability.
New carb, headers, custom exhaust, catalytic converters, and side pipes installed at time of rebuild.
MSD ignition.
4 core radiator with 1 mechanical and 2 electric cooling fans. Electric fans are on separate switch and can be activated from inside the cab.
3/4 ton front and rear axles with 8 lug weld xt wheels and 35 inch Mickey Thompson MTX tires.
4:10 gear ratio front/rear
Tuff Country 6 inch lift. Complete suspension and steering overhaul at that time. NO death wobble on this truck. Can cruise at 70 mph at 3,600 rpm.
New rear drum brakes and new front brake pads/rotors.
Polyurethane Energy body mounts
Speed Hut custom gauges with digital GPS speedometer
Sony CD player with 4 speakers & remote control. Has USB/Aux/Bluetooth
Trailer hitch with wiring
Custom tailgate/hatch from 1987 Chevy Silverado pickup. Much lighter and more functional than factory gate with crank window. Makes it like the original 60s-70s Blazers. The tailgate does lock. I have the original tailgate as well which comes with the Blazer.
It would take you at least $25k to build a blazer like this. It has $8k in the drivetrain alone. It has plenty of power to tow whatever you want. The manual transmission is very rare. It has never been taken off road. Used to tow a 24 foot Starcraft boat and taken to cruise nights every so often. Gets compliments wherever I go.
I have custom car cover, two sets of keys, original manuals, records, etc. It has a clean title, I am the 3rd owner
These trucks are going up in value every year!
Hagerty rated the 1978-1991 K5 Blazer #9 of the 25 top collector cars of 2018.
This one can be a show truck, mud truc, daily drive, or weekend cruiser.
