Description:

1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Chevy Monte Carlo 2Dr. Up for sale is an extremely rare 1970 Monte Carlo. This Monte is one of 545 units factory equipped with a three speed manual shift on the column. This car has only has 84,031 original miles. Same owner from May 1970 'til March of 2012. Then a reputable collector purchased the car and preserved it for a short period and I purchased it as a gift for myself after retirement from the military. The original owner special ordered this Monte car to his liking with a 350/250hp, manual column shift, postreaction rear end with 3.08 gears, dual exhaust, vinyl roof, bumperettes, and door belt moldings. The original colors are forest green with a green cloth bench seat interior.

Other than a repaint in the late 70, she is all original having never been restored. The body is very straight with except for the front passenger fend (est. cost of new one from Original Parts Group $300.00.)

The original rear bumper is straight and glows. The front original bumper is dented which can be straightened and again a new bumper (est. cost of new one from Original Parts Group $300.00.)

The trunk is a time capsule with its original spare tire and original splatter paint. The interior is near perfect with the exception of some minor wear and tear on the seats. Perfect headliner, dash pad, door panels, original mint carpe, mint steering wheel with no crack($),and original floor mats.

I have the original protecto-plate, build sheet, sales brochure, and owner's manuals. This is a great running and driving car needing only need a few minor repairs to bring back to it's original.

I am not very experienced in first generation Monte Carlos and highly doubt there is another one in existence such as this one. However, I know that this rare beauty is worth more than my asking price. I have taken in consideration the minor repairs that it will cost, therefore I have lower my asking price considerably. Car is not currently registered. Has been garaged for past three years. Serious inquires only...
