It is the longest continuous use automobile nameplate in production, starting in 1935 for the 1935 U.S. model year, and has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. The 1935 first generation Carryall Suburban was one of the first production all-metal bodied station wagons.Third generation (1947-1954) This model generation was based on the Chevrolet Advance Design series of pickups. This was the last series to feature "Canopy express" models. The design of the 1949 Suburban would inspire the design of the Chevrolet HHR over half a century later.MechanicalThis Suburban is in great mechanical condition and has been well maintained. The engine is a 327 that runs super strong and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears. No power steering. Tires are like new with good tread. This truck runs, drives and stops great, suspension is very tight and no annoying noises. Exterior This is a California dry, solid truck. Body and frame are very solid and straight and has a nice orange paint that looks great. Chrome is really nice. Both bumpers are straight with no dents. Very solid truck with no rust issues. All doors, hood and trunk open and close well. Undercarriage is rock solid. The paint is very presentable although not perfect, has some minor dents and touch ups. All the exterior lights are in working order. All glass is great. InteriorThe interior is complete and looks very clean. The seats and the headliner are in good condition, no tears. Overall this Chevy Suburban is a great driver quality SUV that can be taken to shows or just weekend cruiser with lots of thumbs up.THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN THIS GREAT CLASSIC!
