Description:

1968 Chevrolet Impala

This Auction is for a 1968 Chevrolet Impala that is in very good condition. I have all legal documents for this car. This vehicle drives, crank, and sounds very good just as any newer car. In my personal opinion, this car sounds better than most newer cars. The hood was open in the pictures that were taken, but it will close properly. This car has it's original paint job and it will clean up and shine well considering it's age, however it will need an eventual paint job. This car is not rust damaged and there is only very slight surface rust that is mainly on the hood area where the paint is starting to show its age. The floor pans are brand new and have been professionally installed. The carpet is new and professionally installed. All of the leather seats and carpet in this car have been professionally upholstered and look as new as they would have 50-years ago when the car was made. The engine is smooth with absolutely no knocks or ticks of any kind. This car does not leak any oil. The transmission functions as it should. This car is equipped with original drum brakes. This car has no broken windows. This is pretty much a numbers matching vehicle, however I have upgraded to a chrome radiator, chrome hose, chrome shroud, chrome valve covers, chrome headers, and chrome air cleaner/carb cover to match the chrome Edelbrock carburetor that I had professionally installed. Nevertheless, the original carburetor is in the trunk and will be included with this sale along with any and all other original parts that I still have for this car, such as the wheels that were on the car when I bought it. I have put 20" inch chrome wheels on the car, but the buyer will have the option to put the original ones back on that I will include with the purchase. This car has no major issues at all. The heat and air conditioner will work, but this car will need a compressor before the air conditioner will function properly. Also, the driver side window gets off track sometimes. When putting this car in park, I have to make sure it is all the way in park or it will roll, but I usually just set the emergency brake just to be on the safe side. All of the dashboard gauges work properly, including the odometer. This car only has 46,000 miles on it and has been well taken car of. This car could use a good cleaning or detailing, but anyone that sees it in person will know that it will not take much to get this car to top show quality. I have sparingly driven this car because I have other cars for my daily driving. I have put a reasonable amount of money into upgrading certain aspects of this car, but it has always been a trustworthy car. I have registered this car with my state as an antique, therefore I am only permitted to drive it on the weekends or to car shows. Underneath this car looks just as good as everything else. This car has never been wrecked and has no dents or dings. I have supplied many photos to be viewed, but if there are any questions or concerns then I am more than happy to reply to any messages that are sent to me. This auction will have no reserve. However, I would hope that anyone interested will give this rare gem a good home and love it just as I have. Thanks for looking!
