Description:

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone

1967 Chevelle SS big block clone. This is my first car I'm selling. I've decided to sell it as I started farming in 2007 and moved to the country with gravel roads. The car doesn't get used anymore and with 3 young daughters I just don't have time. The car was a factory A/C, power steering, 283 cu small block with a power glide.I drove the car on the street mainly but I did take it to a 1/8 mile drag strip 3 times. The best time was 7.33 seconds at 94 mph without NOS. With NOS it will do 6.9 seconds.

Engine:

454 cu big block 0.030" over, JE high dome pistons, Eagle H beam rods, steel crank, bigger valves in heads with stud girdles. Single plane high rise intake, Holly 850 carburetor with NOS kit (I have bottle not shown in picture). MSD ignition system. Headers with 3" flow master exhaust. Engine doesn't have much usage. Electric water pump, electric fan, aluminum radiator. Barry Grant electric high/low fuel pump with braded fuel system lines. I run premium pump gas in it. Compression is 11:1. MSD ignition has rev limiter to protect from rev'n too high

Transmission:

TCI Turbo 400 w/ tranny brake. Purchased new and doesn't have much usage

Rear End:

12 bolt limited slip Auburn Gear differential. 4:88 gears. High strength axles. Aluminum heavy duty driveline with driveline loops. 4 link with coil over shocks. There is room to fit wider and taller tires and still maintain the factory quarter panels shape.

Body:

Fenders are original with new lower patch panels on lower rear. New quarter panels, new rocker panels, new door skins, new rear window panel. Original trunk lid, 6" cowl induction fiberglass hood. All glass is good. Floor has an aluminum kit installed with aluminum tubs. The car is tubbed 6" on both sides and has an 8 point roll cage. The frame is original but rear frame rails were moved 6" in. Frame has been boxed in to reduce twist. 12 gallon fuel cell. Battery moved to the trunk with shut off switch. Paint is black base coat clear coat.

If the buyer would be interested I have a lot of the original parts if one would want to put it back to more of a factory car (original hood, rear interior panels, etc). We could work out some kind of a deal.

The car is very fun and fast and gets a lot of looks. It will pull the front left tire off the ground at the drag strip. I thought I would never sell this car but family and farming have pushed the car to the corner of the barn. Most of the restoration was done between 1996-2003 and I have a lot of the receipts. Contact me with any questions and thanks for looking
