This was a local gentleman's farm truck. He took very good care of it, but it was not garaged. It does not have one single dent, but does have rust on body. Underside is VERY clean, only surface rust. Floors are solid as can be. Typical GM rocker repair was performed years ago. Frame is solid as well. Steering box area solid, all other suspension mounts solid. Interior is nice for age. One spot of vinyl missing on back rest of driver side and dash is cracked. Most lighting working, one turn signal bulb needs replacing. Blower fan blows slow. Engine temperature sending unit not working, gauge is good. Horn not working. A/C is all there but unhooked. Wipers work well. Some rust in bed, tail gate works great. I have the fuel skid plate out so it can be restored/painted. Radio is Original and works great!
New Battery, Plugs, Wires, Gas Tank, Fuel Sending Unit.

Truck runs and drives great. Cranks right up, idles great, no funny noises from engine or trans. Will need tires balanced. Passenger side valve cover gasket leaked at one point, but has slowed alot just with a little tightening, the bolts were a little loose. Will need front brake pads, but brakes work well. Fuel Filler Hose and Vent Filler Tube Hose needs replacing(easy fix), it leaks when filling up. 4X4 works well. Hubs work properly, truck shifts into 4Hi and 4Low and engages properly.
The engine has great even compression except for cylinder #7. Compression numbers are COLD: (1) 150, (2) 145, (3) 145, (4) 145, (5) 150, (6) 140, (7) 85, (8) 140. Cylinder #7 has a burnt valve. I squirted oil into cylinder and compression did not rise...thus...burnt valve. Engine has a stamp from where it was rebuilt at some point. I have a receipt from a long time ago stating that he had it done. Still runs and idles great.
This would be a great truck to have some fun with. You can drive it like it is without rectifying burnt valve of course, if you want. It will need a little minor TLC to be roadworthy for long trips..mostly front brake pads and tires balanced. Glove Box cubby is missing. Other than that she is all here and complete. These are getting hard to find in ANY condition, especially one with low miles that runs and drives.
