1971 CHEVROLET 4WD 3/4 TON PICKUP4-speed Manual Transmission
This is my dad's pickup that he purchased brand new here in Medford, OR. I believe that he still has the bill of sale somewhere. We went everywhere in this truck; from the beaches on the sea to the snow in the summits. Originally had a 350 in it but dad towed a small dozer and his tractors all over the valley so he put a 1 ton rear end in it and put an industrial 427 V-8 that was rebuilt and has less than 10,000 miles on the rebuild. He purchased a Dodge with a Cummins diesel in '95 and the Chevy got parked mostly after that. Truck runs good; just tuned up. I believe the (2) spare tanks need cleaned out. Has service manuals and some maintenance records. Dad custom fabricated the front bumper which was also storage for his tire chains which also has a hidden latch. My dad also put a PTO winch on the front; I know without a shadow of doubt that my 12,000 winch that I have on my truck couldn't perform all that I've seen this one do. Lots of history and lots of stories. I may add more text later as it comes to me or if anyone has any particular questions.
