1983 Chevrolet C20 Pickup Scottsdale

Look for one of these--Hard to find!1983 Chevy Scottsdale C20 3/4 ton LB 2WD regular cab pickup. Automatic transmission and 64,300 original miles. This was ordered new at the former Irv Schroeder Motors in Hillsboro,KS. to pull a large tow camper by my father-in-law. Has a tow package. It has camper brakes assist, and awiredheavy duty Reese tow hitch w. removable hitch ball mount on a heavy duty back bumper. Not sure what the gearing is, but it really pulls with a factory heavy duty 3 speed Auto transmission that shifts great. This is a Scottsdale that was ordered with no frills--full rubber floor mat, no headliner, crank windows, and manual door locks. Does have factory A/C, but needs repair. Cruise (works, 5.7 L (350cc) 4 barrel motor, aftermarket Eclipse stereo head unit and 2 door speakers, dual gas tanks, tilt wheel, running boards, LT 235/85R16 tires with good tread. Fresh oil change. New starter and battery this spring. New muffler. Aluminum 3 row replacement radiator--Warms up pretty quick for an old truck. Large camper mirrors on both sides. Full sized spare bolted in bed.
Interior is almond (tan) color w. Naugahyde vinyl bench seat which has a tear on the driver's side only (see pics). Dash has cracks. If you know anything about 80s GM paint, you know that they really didn't have it figured out--so partial original paint--except where father-in law had some touch up places as you can maybe see on right fender and below the pinstripe where my wife's cousin painted below the line. Paint has delamination on hood, roof, several places...so subsequently, some rust--Check Pics Please. The red color always oxidizes very quickly, nomodern clear coat here.
This vehicle has NEVER been in an accident and has a clean report (daughter did back into the right side by the running board while in driveway, and that's it--pic # 23). I'm sure you'll want to know about oil use--it leaks way more than it burns. The only smoke I've noticed is on start up sometimes or restart if you would kill it.
I will personally guarantee the mileageas I inherited this from my father-in-law (wife's name was on title) so I am the really the 2nd owner--odometer has always worked. I used it to drive to work, hauling stuff, and to the landfill--it sat a lot, all outside--still, a truck that likes to work.
Sure, there are things that could be done: new valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket--does leak some oil, paint and rust fixes, fuel gage works but goes up less than half when full, left speaker replacement, not sure how right fuel tank works (hasn't been used for years), replace windshield (cracked). Could use some carb choke work/adjust. Might NOT pass a strict (Cal.) emissions check--some of that was deleted w. a replacement exhaust manifold years back. No cold air- A/C needs repair, but is all there.
Title is clear and ready to be signed over. No warranty--as is. I tried to show show the good, the bad, and ugly in pics the best I could--Check them!
