I purchased this truck to build a re-creation of a chopped short bed that I had in the 70s. I began squaring this truck away and found another truck that already had the top chopped. This truck is much cleaner than the other truck, but it will cost less to complete than to have this truck chopped.
I bought this truck after looking at many C10 short beds. The body on this truck is pretty straight with minimal rust in the driver toe board and left front fender brace. I have purchased the fender brace, but haven't had time to do the repair. The brace will come with the truck. There is no body brace or drip rail rust in this truck. The paint is a 20 footer with scratches from use and the clear coat is starting to peel on the roof. The turn indicator lights have been moved from the hood to behind the grill. The bed wood is oak and in decent shape but could use sanding and another coat of varnish. All glass is good.The engine is a 350 out of a '74 Camaro with a mild cam, Weiand intake, Holley carb, Petronix ignition and headers. It has 140+ compression on each cylinder and 50# oil pressure. the transmission is the original granny 4 speed. It also has CPP power disc brakes in the front. Steering is manual with new steering column bearings. It has a new battery and alternator. There is an electric fan on the radiator as well as the factory fan. The wheels are 15" with 245/60 tires in the front and 275/60 in the rear.The interior is clean with new steering wheel, horn kit, turn indicator switch, choke cable, light and wiper knobs, dome light, and visor. The original radio does not work. There are water temp, oil pressure and volt gauges mounted below the dash.
