To counter the difference in price, Chevrolet promoted the idea that its cars really were "Superior. " The cost included an electric starter and wood-spoke wheels. Bumpers were optional. Chevy had a conventional three-speed manual transmission but it was updated with a new single dry-plate clutch, replacing the old cone style clutch.
