Description:

1991 Chevrolet G20 Van NO RUST Shorty ChevyVan G10

auction is for the 1986 G10 short wheel base #3. The 1991 is the wrong vin entered. I will correct it all today.I have owned the 86 for 7 years and used promotionally and for wheel errands and cross country trips.
I bought this van in 2010 in Phoenix. I used out west for 4 years then drove it back to Detroit. One night I was inspired to paint it up as you see here. It looks like a big toy now. It is definitely not a professional high quality paint job - I just taped it off and painted up the idea. I just wanted to make it something fun.
It is a great running Van. Always starts right up and runs great. It does have a few less than perfect items to note: the speedometer makes noise at low speeds, the seats were from something else, but were in it when I bought it. They are somewhat comfortable. The exhaust will need to be replaced soon. It is not loud but the muffler is starting to have a deep rumble. Basically that's it. It is a simple van to own and use. Its clean and rust free - always a western van. The one old foglight was removed since these photos and two new amber foglights are installed, not yet wired.
The wheels are DVW custom wheels, CNC machined, powdercoated victory red with orange metal flake and candy red clear. The pictures really do no justice to how it look when the sun is shining on them. The tires are Goodyear Duratrac are new and have less than 100 miles on them. The tires give it a 4x4 appearance however it is a 2wd van. The van rides super smooth. A lot of people have assumed it rides like a truck because of the tires - just the opposite, the Duratracs are a very soft ride. The van is smoother than a lot of Cadillacs I have driven. It has new shocks front and rear (air shocks). Over the years the alternator, waterpump and radiator, and starter and battery, have been replaced.
No worries about the terms of the listing regarding payment, pick-up, or shipping, I just want a good sale and we can work it out. You can pick it up in person, even can fly in and drive it home anywhere, it is that reliable and dependable that I would have no problems driving it to you for the cost of Gas, Hotels, and my plane ticket home. I will be in town for a short time after the auction ends until 26th to work out picking up the van. If you have to ship it and it is picked up after that, there will be no problem, its in safe storage. The van does not have any rust on it. It spent its life out west and since in Michigan has always been stored and never seen a snow covered road.
Sorry these are the only photos I have of the van to put up. Some of them are from right after I painted it and some of the overspray may not had been removed.
Why am I selling it? Not because there is anything wrong with it. The only thing wrong is with me having 5 vans. I have a have an attachment to this crazy shorty van since I've driven it all over the West. With my time mostly out west now I have not used the van at all this last year. This is the only reason I have put it up for sale, someone should be driving it around. Someone has to be up for it. Kids love it of all ages. I simply cannot drive all these vehicles I have collected. I do not have to sell this...I will also sell one of my other ones shown in the last couple of photos - the 79 E100 300-6 a completely rust fee body and original blue paint, or the 76 B200 360 original crimson paint, rust around the rear drip rail (California van). Both have flare and visor kits from customvan.com they are the best. I just cant use all these. Feel free to call 2488902504 for info.
