1969 Chevrolet Impala Custom

I am the second owner of this 1969 Chevrolet Impala Coupe. I bought it from my Mom's sister's husband's brother who bought it new here in Franklin, KY in 1969 for his wife and drove it off the local Chevrolet dealership, Lane-King Chevrolet, show room floor. I bought it in 1991 & drove it to my parent's farm & parked it in a barn. I had intentions of restoring it. I finally did a frame-on restification to it in 2007 - 2008. I changed the color scheme from tan/gold with black & white interior to blue with black & blue interior. While dis-asembled, someone stole the entire front clip! So, I had to locate & obtain parts from 2 other donor cars to re-asemble a great front clip. I had already bought both new rear quarter panels and I had them installed. Body is Metal & is in Great/New Shape! I had it primed & painted my favorite auto color, Dark Metallic Indigo Blue, like my 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe. Paint is awesome & Shines. I couldn't find the right color of '69 vinyl top to match my newer paint color, so I found a mid '70s GM vinyl top bluw color that matched great, so I used that style/color top. It matches & Looks Great! I had the 350 c.i.d. [5.7L] v8 motor with 300 HP heads rebuilt. I added a 1 size bigger RV cam to give it a little thump & more low end torque. I just replaced the carb with a new Holley 4 Barrel carb. Starts & Runs Great. I had the transmission rebuilt. Shifts Great. I added fresh New bumpers [front & rear] from Bumper Boys. I had all the trim polished or re-plated. Shines Great. I added a larger front sway bar & rebuilt front suspension including new shocks. Drives & Rides Great. I rebuilt the brakes & brake lines & added aftermarket Devino 20" chrome wheels with Goodyear tires to give it a more modern stance & appearance. Looks & Shines Great. I had A/C replaced with new style; new compressor, condenser, drier, & hoses. Those parts all work. However, it had a climate control system & parts of that system have rusted up a little in the dash & prevent the different doors from opening, so the nice cold air doesn't get into the cabin. Mechanic said he didn't have enough experience with that & didn't want to break anything, so he left that part as is. It still needs some work on the in/under the dash parts to free up the doors to allow the cold air to get into the cabin. I had new black replacement carpet, new black headliner, & new black seat belts installed. I had seats, door panels, & wall panels custom re-upholstered in black & blue. Looks Great! I added new Grant steering wheel. Looks & Feels Great! I added new modern retro radio complete with cassette player & remote CD unit mounted in trunk. Sounds Great! I added new Dual Exhaust with Mufflers. Not too loud nor too quiet. Sounds Great!Check out the photos!! If need any more photos I can text more to you.
