1977 Chevy Conversion Van
Here at MissChiTown (a marketing service for car collectors who want to list their cars on eBay), we get to see just about everything! Once in a while we get something that we really love because it is so unusual.
The 1977 Chevy conversion van is a one owner vehicle. The son is selling this van that his father bought new and it has only 19,574 ORIGINAL miles on the odometer because it was only used for taking short trips to tennis lessons or short jaunts. The son tells us that his father was always Young at Heart and he bought this van because he thought it was a cool way to travel in style.
Many descriptions come to mind when you look at this van, TIME WARP, TIME MACHINE, OLD SCHOOL KOOL, or a throw back vehicle to the 1970s, call it what you want it is definitely a unique collector vehicle. Yes in the 70s this is what the young, rebellious kids were driving and it was also driven by parents that wanted something really cool to chauffeur the kids around. This vehicle is equipped with everything that was exciting from that time period. Including shag carpeting, dining room table, captain chairs, conversion bed, mini refrigerator and a really cool paint job. What is so exceptionally nice about this vehicle is that it has not been changed from its original conversion status. All of the materials and works have not been altered so it appears just as it was with the counter culture and hippies saying, "I am cool; respect that!".
These conversion vans even doubled as second homes for many of the young generation during that time. The van has a totally 70s theme paint job and the 70s influenced interior is obvious also. This Chevy Van is a true relic of the past, a piece of history and would be a lot of fun for any collector to have in his collection. Whether you put it in a car museum or use it for family trips it will certainly be a 70s flashback!
The vehicle is described as follows by the private seller:
Original conditional except that the wheels were upgraded when new. The original hubcaps that were replaced very early on will go with the van.
Original V8 engine and automatic transmission.
Air Conditioning (may need a charge).
Sink & Refrigerator
Four Captain Chairs (Passenger Seat swivels) and two tables and sofa lounge area.
There is an 8-Track Player (the 8-track has not been used for many years).
2 Battery System
You can really travel in style in this conversion van - room for the whole family to travel in comfort.
If you are old enough to remember vehicles like this or even if you aren't old enough to remember but are fascinated with the 70s, this will certainly cause crowds to gather when you pull up. You will probably not see another at the local car shows. Again, this is a great Time Warp piece and justly deserves a place in car collecting history.
Bid to Win and the crowds that come to see it will be happy you did.
