This car is available for sale locally and subject to prior sale at: westernslope craigslist.org/cto/5882781404.html... Look up CL westernslope CO to find it since evilbay doesn't allow links, or whatever the F(*&...
The previous owner told me he had started a 350 Chevy small block and Turbo 350 conversion around ten years ago (the plates show it was last registered in 2002). He supposedly had it started up and drove it to his dad's house, but couldn't get the used exhaust hooked up and just kind of lost interest.
I'd like to make a drag car out of it, but I've got a couple of other projects I need to get done, so this car has to go.
The body looks pretty good, especially since it hasn't been on the road for quite a while. The trunk floor is rusted through a bit and there is no gas tank, no back seat, and no keys. What you see is what you get. There is a clean CO title. The previous owner said once he got it running, he took the gas tank to a local shop to get cleaned out and forgot he had left the locking gas cap on the tank when he dropped it off. He later dropped the car keys off with gas cap key, but before he got around to pick it up, the shop went out of biz, so no tank, no keys...Except for the windshield, all the glass is good. All the windows work correctly.
Probably not a great candidate for a resto, but could make a good donor for another resto, or a great platform for an inexpensive race car, mess around town car, donor car for the front clip and drivetrain, or whatever.
The engine block has a casting # of 3970010 and the stamped numbers translate the engine out of a 1980 GM 1/2 to 3/4 ton truck. I never tried to start it, but the engine oil and trans fluid look OK and I put a socket on the front damper and turned the motor, so it's not locked up. It already has a B&M Shifter that gets out of park and goes through the gears. That's a bit of money right there.
I will include the original wheels and dog dish hubcaps that came on the car. The rally wheels on it now just happened to have tires that hold air, but I figure that's an bonus for you.
I've tried to include decent pix. Contact me for any further info.
